Take your pick of unspoiled coastline, medieval chateaux, historic market towns and woodland walks. As you travel, sample the delights of the local specialities of Camembert and Calvados, or enjoy the excellent seafood platters served in numerous local restaurants.
The local forests are home to deer and wild boar, and provide an abundance of delicious edible mushrooms (the local pharmacies will kindly identify them for you to ensure that they are safe to eat!)
 The region's most famous attraction is 'Wonder of the West', Le Mont St Michel. The pre-Romanesque church was built over a thousand years ago and over the centuries has developed to encompass the magnificent Abbey and monastery.
Its silhouette dominates the coastline and it draws over 3 million visitors each year.
In addition there are nature parks, a reptilarium, water parks, aquarium and zoos within easy reach.
